Steampunk sonic screwdriver/ genaral item

This is my first exploit into steampunk awesomeness that is not paper based.  Its made of Guitar wire, springs, rusty nuts and bolts and washers. it separates into two pieces; the battery pack (located beneath the gold (ish) cog), and the handle/barrel thingy.  It looks like a sonic screwdriver but it can be anything I can think of.
The entire machine

The handle and barrel

The battery pack and handle

I hope you have enjoyed my maddened ramblings,

Until next time

Welcome to Rhul Part Three- Wroughthammer Rockram

Here we are at the halfway point in this series in which I have been telling you about my steadily growing 15 point Rhulic warmachine army.  In this instalment I will be showing you the heavy warjack that will be heading the operation,...the wroughthammer rock ram.  It was a joy to paint and base but absolute hell to put together (I hate large metal models).  So yeah here it is,

So hope you enjoy,

Gun-bunnies!!!-Welcome to Rhul part 2

So yeah this is the second instalment of my Warmachine series.  The models that I'm going to show you were purchased, made and painted in just under 4 hours.  As you can see weathering is a big part of my painting process,  usually I drybrush  the model with Bestial brown,  Mithril silver and Vermin brown.  This just about does it but if it no longer looks ok just drybrush it with the bass coat and it should look fine.  So on with the pics,

Hope you like,

A little bit of Steampunk doodling Part 1

In the spaces between painting, homework and meals I have found time to draw a couple of doodles of steampunk stylings. I've decided to start posting them so onwards-  This first one Is probably my favourite. Its a sentry robot based on a Penny farthing bicycle, I have tried to make it look like some thing of of the film '9'. The first one is the original drawing and the second - the original after I let my friend have a play around in fireworks. Enjoy.

I'll keep trickling these in as a random series between my painting. Hope you have enjoyed.

MortisQuest Skirmish Dread Pirates

I've had these guys since early 2010. They are used for a skirmish system that uses a heavily modified version of the Hero quest rules written by Mortis logan, who is one of the founders of the lost and the damned forum which I would highly recommend for those who like a large range of wargames both past and present. So enough enough with the babble and on with the show!!

First the Captain

Now the Sea Hag

Then the Giant crab

And the patchwork eel (home-sculpt)

To finish off the crew that have served me from press ganging to death (and far beyond)  the Dread pirates

I hope you have enjoyed having a look at my minis. Just for reference the Captain, sea hag and G-crab are Reaper miniatures.
